If the organiser of the event you’re attending has set ticket assignment to manual, you’ll need to assign your ticket(s) after purchase. The QR code will only be activated once the ticket is assigned — failure to do this may result in arriving at the event without a valid QR code, which can cause delays or confusion at entry.
The steps below will guide you through the process, whether you’re assigning a single ticket for yourself or multiple tickets for family or friends.
Assign a ticket to yourself:
- Simply click the 'Assign to me' button and the QR code will be activated. The ticket will be in the name associated with the User account.
Assign tickets to someone else:
-
Click the “Someone else” button.
-
Enter their first name, surname, and email address.
-
If they don’t have an email address (e.g. for a child), enter their name and surname, then tick the “They don't have an email address” box.
This will assign the ticket in their name and send it to the email address registered to your Ticketpass account. -
Click “Assign ticket” — an email will be sent to the address you entered.
-
The person will be able to claim the ticket by creating a Ticketpass account with that email.
-
Once claimed, the ticket will appear in their own account, under their name and email address.
You can always un-assign and re-assign a ticket if you need to. Just click Actions and Unassign ticket, and repeat the above steps depending on who you're assigning it to.
Assigning membership is similar to the above; you must select assign to me if it's for yourself, or assign to someone else if it isn't. You can then enter their name, their email which is registered with Ticketpass and send them the invitation.
And If they don’t have an email address (e.g. for a child), enter their name and surname, then tick the “They don't have an email address” box, this will assign the ticket/membership with their name, but to your account's email address.
P.S, in the case it has already been assigned and accepted, you must contact support to un-assign a membership.
