If the organiser of the event you're attending has set their event to manual assign, you'll need to assign your ticket(s) once you've it/them. Only once they're assigned the QR code will be activated, so failure to do this might mean you arrive at the event without a valid QR code, causing delays and confusion.
The information below will help you through the process whether you've got just one ticket for yourself or multiple for yourself and family/friends. You can assign your ticket(s) from the checkout confirmation screen after purchase or in your My tickets account (accessed via ticketpass.org/login).
Assign a ticket to me:
- Simply click the 'Assign to me' button and the QR code will be activated. The ticket will be in the name associated with the User account.
Assign tickets to someone else:
- Click the button 'Someone else'
- Enter their first name, surname, and email address.
- If they don't have an email address (for example because you've bought for a child) but you'd like the ticket to be in their name, enter their name and surname and tick the 'They don't have an email address' box. This will put the ticket in their name and send it to the email registered to the User account
- Click 'Assign ticket' and an email will be sent to the email address entered
- From there, the person in question will be able to claim the ticket by creating a Ticketpass account
- They'll be able to access the ticket via their own account and it will now be in their name & email
You can always un-assign and re-assign a ticket if you need to. Just click Actions and Unassign ticket, and repeat the above steps depending on who you're assigning it to.
